This product applies the latest regenerate power technology.
Therefore the working temperature has dropped significantly compared
to the previous generation products. This allows leaving power on
over the long term.
This product is burned-in for at
least 300 hours before shipping.
We recommend burning it
for an additional 300 hours for best results.
The quickest way to complete the
burn-in of this product is to power on it continuously, no matter
with or without music playing to the burn-in.
Do not immediately power on the unit
after powering it off. Wait for at least 30 seconds.
Connect with KRELL amplifiers:
HE-1MK2 is compatible with KRELL amplifiers CAST inputs.
A cable can be made
with one side connecting to HE-1MK2 ACSS
outputs, other side to a KRELL amplifier CAST inputs.

Pin 2, Hot
Pin 3, Cold
Pin 4, GND

Pin 1, GND
Pin 2, Hot

functions ：
Display inform:
Left first mean the
input channel number .
Left second mean
the pre-volume control.
The
remaining digit mean the volume level, number higher volume is higher .
Left button: (Only
available while user want to change the set feature .)
Push the left button
once, the leftmost digit will light and The remaining digits will blink, which indicates it is selected.
This allows changing the corresponding setting. Turn the volume knob to select the desired value. While the display is
still blinking, push left button again , the next digit to the right
will be selected and stop blink.
While the rightmost digit of the page 2 is
stop blink, push
the left button one time, quite the set menu and back to the normal
state.
Right button: (Selector)
While the display is in normal
state (not blinking), it allows selecting the input source in
decreasing order. One of the following will be displayed:
"1 - XLR";
"2 - RCA";
"3 - XLR";
"4 - RCA";
"5 - ACSS";
Knob:
For change the volume .
Setting guide：
Display auto-dimming setting:
Push the left button once, the leftmost digit will light and The
remaining digits will blink, which indicates it is selected. Turn the
volume port down or up, there is a little LED at the right bottom of the
leftmost digit light or dark, when the LED light mean
enables the display's auto-dimming; the display will
dim 10 seconds after the buttons are left untouched, only keeping a LED
bar lit to indicate the unit is turned on. As soon as a button is
touched, the display will turn back on. When the LED dark mean disables
the display's auto-dimming, the display will remain on at all time.
Pre-volume setting:
Push the left button two times, the second digit will light and The
remaining digits will blink, which indicates it is selected. Turn the
volume port down or up, the second digital
change from between 1 to 9, 9 mean no attenuation , bypass the
pre-volume control , down every 1 steps
mean the pre-volume with -1DB attenuation , when turn to 1, that mean
-8DB attenuation of the pre-volume. The pre-volume
control only available for XLR and RCA inputs.
Gain setting:
Push the left button 3 times, the 3rd and rightmost digit will light
and The remaining digits will blink, which indicates it is selected.
Turn the volume port down or up, there is a little LED at the right
bottom of the rightmost digit light or dark, when the LED light mean
enables the high gain mode, gain is 16DB, when the
LED is dark, mean enables the low gain mode, gain is 6DB. The HE-1 MK2
apply the latest technology, no any switch or parts change in the gain
modes so there is no effect on the sound quality,just
choice the proper gain for the power amp .
The unit applied input short design :
The
unit had design the analog idle input
short circuit for avoid the disturb between different sources.
This design also applied in a
lot high end
brand devices.
The working theory :
Without the idle input short circuit
,if
the
input 5 and input 4 had connect two extra DACs, while users select
the either input 5 and input 4 , the another input signal
will fire through the circuits and mix into the using signal, even though this
signal is weak but still can degrade on the sound
quality.
With the idle input short
circuit function : if user select either the input 5 and input 4, the
another input signal will short
circuit then no any signal fire through circuits , can keep the sound
quality had not degrade.
In world there are more than 99% DACs and the sources had allow the
outputs short ,
Below case users
don't want the idle input short
circuit function, users can open the chassis, pull off the jumpers of
the proper input channels, please note must pull off of left and right
channels together :
1, The same extra source not only connect the
unit analog input, but connect with other amps simultaneity.
2, The same extra source connect to the
unit
different inputs at simultaneity.
